Henry C. Lubbers, 90, of Zeeland, went to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 04, 2010.
Mr. Lubbers was born March 25, 1919 to Cornelius and Aggie Lubbers in Blendon Township. Henry was a faithful member of First Protestant Reformed Church of Holland. Mr. Lubbers was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (nee Engelsman) Lubbers, in August of 2004.
He is survived by his in-laws: Susie Klein, Florence Engelsman, Donna Englesman, Dorothy Engelsman, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who were blessed to have such a loving and caring uncle as Henry Lubbers. He also leaves behind a vast abundance of loving church family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at First Protestant Reformed Church of Holland 3641 104th Ave., Zeeland. The Professor Barrett Gritters will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Friday at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland.
Dear extended family and church family of cousin Henry, Got the word of Henry's translation into glory while here in CA from our grandson Jeff B. in Manila. Henry and I shared the same birthdate and it was always a blessing to converse with him re our spiritual treasures. We'll all miss him.
